We are pleased to host an inline skating event on July 15th on our home track. Skaters of all speeds, experience, and ages are invited to come out and enjoy a beautiful day of skating, speed, and racing on our home track, a 400-meter asphalt oval near the north shore of Lake Ontario.

****RAIN & INCLIMENT WEATHER POLICY**** Please note skating in stormy, rainy, low-air quality, extreme-heat or cold, or wet conditions can be unsafe in certain instances. If the weather forecast for Saturday is not favorable by late-Thursday evening or early-Friday morning, we will make a decision with regard to cancelling or postponing (rescheduling) the event.

A forecast showing likelihood of thunderstorms or if the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) is predicted to be at a level 7 or above for the area will be a cause for cancelation or postponement.

This decision will be published here on this “post”, on this website, and on TISC’s Facebook page.

If the event is not cancelled but inclement weather or conditions occur over the course of the event, a decision will be made on-site whether to continue, to pause to wait & see if conditions become favorable, or to stop the competition & races altogether. If thunder is heard, the event will be halted and participants should seek shelter until 30-minutes after thunder has been heard. Lightning will trigger an automatic stop (see Lightning Safety from Government of Canada). If the event has not been cancelled or postponed but there is possibility of upcoming (or there is current) inclement weather & conditions, the decision to start (or not start) and continue (or not continue) the competition will be made on site at the track.
